sorry to post the same shot ( & not as a version ) as yesterdays...
went back to it & reworked as a 'normal' portrait
cheers for looking
and for the crit etc on the other version
viewed it Large and it is a beautiful capture
I like it a lot. I wonder if it would be better with a portrait crop? I see a curve going through the arm on the left and own the dress which would look particularly dramatic in a portrait crop, just my 2p!
fine image! Very fine!
oh i've had this as portrait/cropped off to the side/square...you name it lol
and big thanks for your user award Jeanie!! yay!
Looked great yesterday Jo and may be today's edges it
excellent work..prefer this to yesterday
less is (sometimes) MORE!!!!!!
this is beautiful, i love it, has H seen it and does she love it too?
EXCELLENT SHOT LOVE THE DETAIL
Much 'cleaner' image and definitely an improvement.
Nice. Great idea with the 'splash of white'.
Generally for me it's the odder the better, but there's a quiet dignity about this version that is quite compelling. It has the feel of a traditional portrait that's hung for centuries in a country house while still being bang up to date.
weeelll it seems to have gone down better like this lol
i like this version myself & Eric you have described the look i was trying to create here to a T !
and Merille, Haley is away all this week & i was away last week so she hasn't seen any edited shots yet, i'm hoping she will like some of them!
i have a load to play with for her
Fabulous Jo .... the only frills are in the dress
Perfect crop too IMO as the background and sense of space around the figure adds a lot of value too.
Re: Guest Editor Award
This for me is pretty much a perfect combination of portraiture and digital manipulation. Beautiful lady, marvellous costume and and oh so fitting background.
Just perfection. I have just put my imagination in the local paper.

hey Dave thanks very much for the GE award & the fab comment
I absolooootely love this.
Wonderufl image/work -
Yeah, I do prefer this one jo, and can't improve on MrU's comment so I won't try. All I'll say is that his award was very well deserved!
I think both images are great. The expression on the model's face is just fabulous and I'd love to see a close up.
The best part of this is her face....such a cheeky expression. I do miss the geese...they gave it a whole different slant.
Well controlled lighting and beautiful image. great detail.
