Lovely flower. I'd prefer it with even less depth of field, to blur the background more. And I would like to suggest coming in closer and concentrating on part of your subject, maybe even going so close that it becomes an abstract - which I think would have more impact than shooting it like this. But it's just a suggestion...

I would agree that less depth of field is better here - also I think there may be minor problems with the subject - some of the petals are drooping, and they are a lighter colour than the other ones, so attract the eye - maybe it would have been better to close in on one or two strong petals, leaving the others as background, so that the viewer is more drawn to a sinlge strong element of the picture. Good picture though.
