Now you know why I prefer to be behind the camera.

I have taken pictures for many years, often in association with my old pals, Woolybill and his Mrs., who first told me of this noble organ.

The arrivals of two small people who bore my surname and a passing physical resemblance (neither of them small any more, by the way) turned my darkroom into a bedroom, and my hobby turned into occasional snapshotting for far too long. Digital photography has come none too soon for me. Some time back I submitted a few casual thoughts to a digital camera mag, only to be astonished to find my email published as their prize post. The prize was a Canon A80 - a rather generous reward for a couple of minutes' keyboard tapping, I thought. Anyway, I now had my first digital camera and could indulge my hobby once again.
