A little awkward to find and an element of danger add to the eerie atmosphere of Finnich Gorge and the Devil’s Pulpit.
The descent into the gorge is by a very narrow and not very inviting stairway named "Jacob's Ladder". It is not that easy to find and the path to them skirts very close to the edge of the gorge. It is also overgrown and narrow at the top so care has to taken as you can't see the edge until you are at it.
Once in the gorge there is a wealth of photographic possibilities. The light is heavily filtered even at midday with blue skies so any exposures will be lengthy.

What a shot. I like the way you see the shot.

The moving water is so spooky it works in well with your fine description of the way into this gorge, heard about it and never managed to get around to seeing it for myself. Well done.
