This was probably my earliest ever start. On a previous visit to the Dales we met a local photographer who gave us ideas for other locations including this one. The first weekend that the weather and conditions looked suitable we left Glasgow at midnight, drove down and climbed the hill to be in position for sunrise. This is an amazing landscape of limestone scars and this huge boulder is an impressive sight.
