There is a good bird photo here but the photo needs sharpening.

Don't think you'll be able to recover this with sharpening as it's too soft. It's soft (probably) because of camera shake, caused by a shutter speed that is too slow for hand holding. You could try upping the ISO next time.

However, on the plus side you have framed the shot nicely, so once you get the focusing right you should be producing some lovely images.

Thanks for your critique, much appreciated. This was a close crop of a long zoom shot. something I'm going to have to remember.
