not sure what the composition of those pillars is - you see a lot of similar in utah & environs.......

the rain often falls selectively in Namibia - this valley shows signs of a recent blessing - a mile or two adjacent they had had zilch!

They couldn't be giant anthills, could they? Well captured, David, it's a wild and barren landscape, but with marvellous light. Carol

No Carol they're not - they are some sort of rock composite - the anthills tend to be more Volcano shaped and are much less gritty/stony Wink
