and to tell it as it is
I think alone we die -
We may leave in company,
We may arrive with company but alone we go .........

This nag we saw
I thought straight off not all was well.........
Horses live in herds and no other in sight ...
In addition it was miles to water,
A hole where we were headed ....
Along with many others!

A blazing day at it's end, standing alone, no movement
There, still, when we returned an hour later, rooted to the spot .......
maybe still !

Lots of discussion/theory about the Wild Horses of Namibia - for those that care or are interested there is lots written - start HERE

Quite a lot of pathos in this, Dave.

A fine minimalist landscape which includes the figure of a sick or dying animal without overstatement. Thanks also for the details on the Namib Horses.
