Taken last night with the Olympics circles that were added to Tower Bridge during the week. To the left of Tower Bridge is the latest addition to London's skyline, The Shard. The Shard, a glass building some 1016 feet high (310mts) containing a 5 star, 200 room Hotel, Restaurants with a view and Offices. In addition 8 floors of apartments that there are only an estimated 75 people in the world that could afford one, so that's me out then. It's a shame the circles were not better lit, but you can't have everything. We spent 200,000 pounds on those circles so I guess we can't afford the electricity to light them properly.

Hope you enjoy, look forward to your comments and possible votes, David

Nice shot as you said shame they could not afford to light them up. Dave

My thanks to you all for your comments and votes, much appreciated. Also thanks to FotoGrafter for your extra details on the Shad, £20m's each, well they do say only a few could afford them. I wont buy one as I've not enough cash after my photography. Wink Have a good day folks. David

Hi David
Thanks for your vote & comment on my view on Westminster. I was not hastled at this area but we were told at Tower Bridge near St Katherine's Dock (where a lot of photographers take photos.) I have also been told off in front of County Hall, Canary Wharf. It makes a trip to London especially and a stay in a hotel an spending money in the establishments along the river a miserable experience. Whilst we were sitting down having a rest a rather large St Bernard dog on a lead came along and peed all over the footpath. But a tripod cannot be used!!!
I certainly won't be able to afford to even visit The Shard. This is a fine capture
