OkÖso I walked out of this shopping centre onto an overhead bridge. Just to my right I spotted these stairs on the side of the building. Nicely catching some late morning sun. I stared at all those lovely lines and shadows. The stairs stared back.

A.

PS I was gonna turn this into a black and white but I thought it looks largely monochrome anyway so I left it. Processing was a slight crop (I tried tighter ones but they didnít work for me) and an increase in Contrast by 20%.

Or, I staired...
Good hard, clean lines. And just those tiny hints of red to show that it isn't a mono conversion.

I think steel architecture supplies wonderful lines and shadows, as I believe you have already noticed! Great angle on this stairwell, Andrew.

Yep, thanks to Moira who seems to have made us all stare a little more closely at your stairs, Andrew! Lovely light and shade as well as strong lines.

Magical shadows and wonderful lines and diagonals.
I do however like the idea of cropping from the top to just below the red. It produces a more simplified image, without the eye going up and around the image too much, and the tightness of the diagonals gives it more impact in my opinion.

Great choice of crop and not turning it into a mono. Outstanding shot.
