An unbelievably calm and peaceful dawn at Aberdeen Harbour's South Breakwater. The sun was about 10 minutes from coming above the horizon and was casting its warm glow to the underside of the streaky clouds.
I find the 54 crop helps mitigate large areas of no interest top and bottom whilst still giving each element of the photograph enough space.

This is a smashing shot. The calm is transmitted so well and the long shutter speed gives a lovely quality to the sea.

Simple, yet very atmospheric... Limiting the colours to the varying shades of blue and pink makes for a very tranquil shot.
