WOW ! That is one of the few exceptions where I absolutely adore the HDR. Shortlisted !
Neglected but I suspect it will be running for along time yet a nice image.
Cheers Mick.
Wow, thanks for the EC. I thought the image had run its course and i've spent the last hour or two working on a few more beetle shots. Very surprised to have a look this morning and find an EC...thanks again.
Colranekoh - Photomatix has a box you can click to try and account for moving objects - it often does a surprisingly good job but not here. Instead i took the image where the moving women was correcty exposed (the 0EV in this case) and blended the relevent area as a layer mask on top of the HDR image. Then a couple of small adjustments to the "woman layer" to make it look right. incidently I almost got rid of her completely as i wasn't sure if she was distracting. Hope that all makes sense.
I should point out that when I saw the beetle from the bottom of the street i thought of Paul Stefan's East meets West Image. I had my 10 - 20mm and this was the result. Thanks for the comments.
Dan
Superb HDR of a well composed image. Congratulations on the EC, well deserved.
Darren.
Stunning image. Perfect in every way. Congrats on the well deserved EC
Den
great photo and like the colours in particular.congrats on the ec
Wonderful composition and perspective - just what a 10-20 lens should be used for. I am also impressed by your use of 3 shot HDR as the image still looks natural, unlike many, with correct exposure throught.
Phil.
Congratulations Dan. First class work and a worthy POTW.
Came back as i saw DaveU's comment in the latest comments section, and im glad i did
you deserve all those awards it really is a fantastic photo congrats ![]()
Absolutely love this - I could stare at it and enjoy the detail for ages!
Now I get what HDR is about and can do. The sharpness is already fantastic but the way you have brought out the colours is superb. I know Cusco relatively well and (on my onitor at least) you have got the colours of the stone work (post storm) to a 'T'.
Definately worth viewing large to catch the lady sat behind the car.
Congrats on the PotW.
Ben
Well done for the POTW.
I am not usually a big HDR fan, but this could turn me. Nice One.
Anil.
This shot has inspired me to try out HDR. The texture and colour of the beetle looks so real, that I can almost reach out, open the car and drive up that perfectly exposed street.
I notice a bit of glare on the left hand side of the car, is that intentional?
Great!
Clint
absolutely love this, great work and congrats on the EC & POTW
