Great shot!!!
Andrea.

i got lucky, the afternoon sun came out lighting up the carpet of leaves and made the fungi stand out. i used an off camera flash to illuminate the shadowed side. Until a fortnight ago i had never seen one of these, now i seem to be finding them where ever i go, must be a good year for them.

good luck on your next trip, look forward to seeing how you do

Well detailed and isolated showing nicely against the leaves. Have you tried a little lower and bouncing some light back under the cap to eliminate the shadows

Beautiful capture of one that has, so far, eluded me. Lovely detail and rich warm colours. Stunning against that background of Autumnal tones.
