This picture was commissioned by a writer friend of mine for a short stories magazine. The story was about an office manager who snaps and begins shooting employees. Oddly the story managed to contain some humour despite the tough subject matter.
It is my first published work and I am pretty happy with the overall result.

The shot was taken in natural light and was a bog standard keyboard. The GUN keys were added in photoshop as was the zoom effect as despite loads of attempts i couldnt get the right effect in camera. The grainyness is a quality i was after and i didnt want the image to look to clean.
Without getting too arty-farty I produced it to try and portray what i imagine could be the single point of clarity that pushes a person over the edge.

A disturbing image that really fits your description well. Nicely done and quite subtle for a vision into madness.

the definition helps explain the image to give more impact. sanity is only a short step from insanity... simple and says everything it needs to.

This looks familiar ... ;o)
it's clever and simple. I especially like the simple colour palette. Something clinical in that which I think adds to what you were illustrating from the story.
Nice one x
