My son in Afghanistan last year - he is home safe now but due to go back again in 2009

I didn't take this shot but I am so proud of my boy and our troops that I decided to upload this in honour of the guys and girls out there now who cannot be with their families at this special time of year - Come home safe x

Hi Debbie - a part of my mind is always with them wherever they are in the world - having spent 22 years in the Army I know what it's like to be away in these places.

Lovely shot BTW

I've no immediate connection to anyone serving, but live very close to 40 Commando who have lost a number of brave men this last tour. Very sad.
What a beautiful picture for a proud mum.
