Excellent capture of these excitement of the children, and like the way you have picked one out in colour, which appears to enhance all the children in some strange way ... well done ... Carol

excellent selective colouring.
And now let us all say olympic, rings and what a wonderful SILVER shot it is.
Because I really feel for the poor beggars who get forced to take the RINGS, GOLD and OLYMPICS off their activities, windows and greetings.

Your picture reflects the true spirit that got forgotten!

VERY well done to highlight your niece, Gareth! I bet your sis-in-law would LOVE this on her wall.

And the name Puddletown is so perfect...I mean, there's a puddle right before their feet!!

Cheers Andrew..here comes the Science bit :

Puddletown is on the River Piddle on the Piddle valley.

However, Queen Victoria vistied during here reign & local dignitaries thought it unfit for her to visit a Piddle..so they change the name to Puddle.....and now we are the only puddle amonst piddles in the area........fact!

No......WAY!!!...lol...now that's some fascinating info, Gareth. Ta GrinGrin So the river and valley are still named Piddle? If so, didn't the incongruity concern the Queen? I mean, to remame it Puddletown and leave the river and valley as Piddle!

A Smile

Hi Andrew,

I think the Victorians were known for being quite prudish, so I guess it was never even mentioned.
there's the river piddle, piddlehinton &piddletrenthide pretty much next door.
