Quote: I agree with Jeremy, the comp is great and sure, a higher tide might have made it stronger but it's still a beauty!
I know some photographers will just pack up and head for home if the conditions they had hoped for dont materialise but I never do that. I think that sometimes that situation stretches me photographically and I rarely return without at least one or two images I like. Occasionally, although probably not in the case of this image, I get a shot that far exceeds what I could have hoped for.
Superb Chris. Very well composed (perfect height for the tripod and good separation between the posts) The colour is beautiful and the water is particularly well rendered. Quality photography and processing. No hesitation in adding my award to this one.
My favourite of this series. The branch and the green moss give it that something extra. Quality photography particularly impressive considering this is out of your comfort zone. Well done on the awards. Very much deserved.
The sky gets Centre stage and rightly so Dougie. Mono really brings out the definition of the clouds. Its a superb image that really conveys a sense of grandeur. A truly classic landscape which gets my award today.
Quote: It looks very natural - it's got that clear bright light of a day like this. I do like your pov and the clarity throughout the frame. It brought back memories of fishing with my grandfather when I was little - that was back when there were a lot of crabs to be caught in the fjord.
Have you tried this in mono? (I would ask, wouldn't I?)
I have started working on a mono. Not sure if it will escape the hard drive yet though.
