A return to the frosty groyne ( No jokes this time Dougie ) alongside the 'Prom' at Gravesend.
great image , love the tint .
Simply superb, Derek. I could reach in and touch that mooring bollard / capstan / thingy
Some good foreground details and a good mono conversion too Derek
Excellent monochrome composition with great foreground details!
Brilliant clarity and toning again Derek. That bollard practically jumps off the screen!!
Cracking detailed image ....
Gorgeous! Excellent mood and composition as always.
Details are wonderful Derek and the toning works well also.
Monochrome at it's best.
I agree, a stunning image... perfect in mono with lots of impact!
really like this one Derek ,that capstan stone really draws the eye into the image ,just love the tonal range of this and clarity .
have a badge my friend
Excellent processing and stunning result.
Fabulous as always Derek
very subtle work.. very pleasing to the eye.. with a sense of uniformity and solemnity..
Cracking again, I think I may have preferred the comp with all the steps included; it had a bit more lead through but then this really makes the most of the groyne too and has lots of impact.
Beautifully done Derek , I think I'm with Al on the steps/comp comment but it's still a beauty, excellent photography
Thanks everyone and a special "Ta very much" to Ollie for the Award. Really appreciated.
Another cracker. Great textures and tones.
That foreground bollard practically jumps off the screen Derek, almost 3D in it's appearance, it steals the show.
Wonderfully detailed image with a superb conversion and compositionÖ
Thank you so much for your award Adam. I really do appreciate it.
Lovely clarity, Derek, the processing is spot on. A tremendous image but think I prefer the landscape format..... just
Works really well with the textures and strong shape of the bollard in the foreground.
