Sunday morning up on Birchin Edge, after a hastily aborted run to the Stanage area due to low lying cloud. Thought this area might clear quicker than Stanage, and I think this proved it did!
Taken just after the sun finally broke through the low cloud over this side to light the landscape. Not been up here for about 6 years, was good to have another go!
A beautiful scene

Broke out beautifully Martin.
Stunning landscape shot
Super view and ya got some fine light
Wow, that is some light! Great shot
All about the light. Wonderfully atmospheric. Well composed and executed Martin.
The light in this is sublime, Martin. A landscape of the highest order. Congratulations.
Very well composed but the light is stunning. Fantastic work!
Truly outstanding, Martin. My wife and I have just been gawping at this cracking image. I said, "I'm going to give this my award", and she replied, "So you should." So I did!
Thanks all, and thanks for your UA too Ian, I'm truly honoured to have got this.
One of the best landscape images I have seen for a while, the colours and tones seem so lifelike
Thanks folks, and thanks for the GEA Phillip, very much appreciated.
Fabulous light coming under that dark sky....well done on the awards
Got to award my UA for this Martin. Fantastic
