Spell-binding and so beautiful. After having said that I think selective colour is a cheap gimick I shall have to eat my words .... you've used it here with subtlety and as an integral part of the image and the story it tells. Marvellous work.

A great image you've created of these evacuee's.
Just about anything could be classed as a cheap gimmick, its chipping away at the cheapness (as you have done so perfectly) that is the definer of talent.
