My Wife and I were on holiday recently in Cornwall and one day we were traveling from one of my favourite haunts down there Mousehole to one of my less favourite places Land's End. We traveled down the back lanes along the coast. Some of the lanes were hardly wide enough for the car. While traveling down a steep valley we came across this water mill wheel. We stopped to have a look and found out that the old tiny mill was a little shop run by two charming elderly ladies selling tourist type Paraphernalia. But what attracted me to the mill was the Dappled Light, I have never seen such pleasing light before and although the valley was covered by trees enough light was coming through the canopy of the trees to make it really light. Smile

Very nice image, like the way the light falls on the mill.

I love the light, dappled through those trees forming a cacoon for this lovely old mill - it nestles in there and blends so well into the setting with the old stone of the walls and the timbers of the old wheel. It looks like a place lost in time, the surrounding land so natural and rather wild adds to the attraction. It must have been a magical moment to find it dressed in this lovely light.

a beauty David - very well captured and presented. A special moment in time.

Hansel & Gretel sprang to mind seeing this what a lovely looking mill, looks or should I say gives the impression of being isolated though! yes a splendid light indeed enough to attract anyone with a camera in particular, love it regards Leon. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
