Teampall Chiarain,
The first church here,was afterwards rebuilt and dedicated to St Cairan, founder of Clonmacnios, who had spent seven years on Aran as a pupil of St Edna. It is thought it was built in the 8th,9th Century. Thanks for viewing, all votes and comments most welcome..Sad
