RETIRED!! But still haven't had a minute to myself yet ! All those things I am going to do..Photograph things other than flowers..learn to speak French because I got thrown out of lessons at school for bad behaviour..make my husband a decent stew where the dumplings don't drop to the bottom ! Loads more on the list as well. This is a close up of another one of the many flowers in my mum's garden which is a picture right now; I am just sad she isn't here to see it. Now I intend to spend more time catching up on all your portfolios. Wishing you all a happy week ! I am sorry I have been away for so longSmile

I hope your retirement is as happy as mine has been. The secret is to be selfish and really, really enjoy all the things you never had time for, and take naps whenever you feel like it. You will find all kinds of interesting things opening to you.

Like a blue sun rising in a pink sky, a new dawn. We were thinking of you at the weekend, reckoned you were retired now. Many congratulations, this is the beginning of the rest of your life, but don't necessarily expect to get everything done - we've never been busier!

Dinah, this is an absolute beauty. I love the color combination, clarity and cropping. Wonderful to have you back in the mix. I am sure you will accomplish all those wonderful goals during your retirement, just don't try to do them all at once. After all, what is the hurry? Set your pace. So glad you are taking time to "smell the roses" ! God bless, Patti

Hi Dianah
What a funny coincidence: I learn French too Smile
Going to Paris is my long-term dream and as the French speak French, I have to be prepared to communicate with them in this language.
We may meet in France one day Smile
As for your changes, I meen, retirement.
I hope you will definitely find what to occupy your time with, right?
Please, let me know what you are going to start doing, OK?
Oh, the picture...
It's very good, as the other you PF's ones.
Cheers

Dumplings sound good to me! When my Mom made dumplings they used to swell so much on the top of the stew there used to be about a 4" layer of solid dumpling!
