An old photo of a dandelion from years ago which I played around with but never finished to my satisfaction. It is so long since I have manipulated a photo I have almost forgotten what I used to do. This reminds me of a rather abstract CD design ! Great fun to do one again after so long !
Somehow I have managed to click something that doesn't allow me to show appreciation for a helpful comment. Can anyone tell me what I have done because I have checked and rechecked and can't see the mistake I have made. Apparently there is a little blue box to tick but I never seem to get any. Willie pointed this out to me.
Many thanks
Di

What a stunning piece of artwork, Di, superbly created. Sorry, I can't help with your problem, I've no idea how to get rid of the 'like' box, even if I wanted to, let alone get it back Smile Carol

Thanks Carol..it isn't the 'like box', I have that ! It is the Constructive Comment bit to click on..I have disabled it. I will have to ask. I am so hopeless when it comes to sorting things out on here !GrinGrin

First off, go to My settings>Website options>Gallery options (in the grey box on the left), and under 'Constructive critique on my photos' switch to 'on'.
I switched mine off long ago after I saw the system seriously abused; a rather unpleasant individual (who subsequently left the site under a cloud... ) went through a friend of mine's portfolio posting a string of pretentious, repetetive, pompous comments. A crony then went through and nominated them and they were accepted. My friend was left with a series of green boxes that he hadn't nominated and violently disagreed with - he took his portfolio down, which was sad.
However...
Wonderful to see you back in the Gallery, that's the main thing - I recognised this immediately as your style. It's not just the graphic design of these manipulations (I've had a go myself and know how it's done in principle, but I don't get your clean, clear look!)
This glows like sunshine. It's a joy to see.
Hope your eye problem has stabilised,
Moira

How wonderful to see one of your amazing manipulations - Like Moira I remember that these became very difficult because of your sight, so I also hope that things are more stable now.
Lovely golden colours and patterns SmileSmile

Thanks Helen..my eyes are ok, have glasses for the computer now and the damage hasn't got any worse. It is the Pulmonary Hypertension that is really slowing me down..hence the lack of photos. Thank you Nathan for your comment and thanks again Moira for telling me about the fact it doesn't work retrospectively !

I have PM'd you about your "constructive critique" problem, Di.

It is an absolute delight to see one of your flower manipulations again, and a real beauty it is too.
You certainly haven't lost your touch!
I feel as if I am in a spectacular mansion, looking straight up at a chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

I have never given my UA to what I'd describe as an abstract image, Di, but IMHO this symmetrical and beautifully crafted image is deserving of such.
A very artistic creation.
