My mum's bungalow has now been sold and I am in the process of clearing out. Beautiful flowers in the garden so I have taken a few shots. This is as close as I could get to the inside of an iris and have tried to emphasies the texture of the petals. It is good to have time to spend on the computer once again. Two weeks and three days to go ! Smile Smile

What a difficult task you have on your hands. I'm glad you can see the beauty in spite of it. I hope you can transplant a few of her favorite flowers to a garden you can continue to visit. My thoughts are with you, nice to see you posting again.

I love what you've done here. Because as with so many of your manipulations, however far you take it from the original it's still unmistakable as an iris. The manipulation seems to add to rather than reduce the organic, living feel.
Wishing you strength for the next couple of weeks - and then a terrific surge of creative energy when you're out!

Mam,You mus t visit the permanent art gallery of Sri Maa at Pondicherry, India. The library has a book in which Sri Maa has described different flowers in most appropriate way in tune with human philosophy. And that is what I find in your PF.
Thank you so much for ur comments.

Amazing, yet I still knew it was an iris. Well done indeed! Know what it feels like re your Mum's garden, but having some lovely images to match with your other good memories will in time be a delight.

Nice to see you posting again, Di. It has been a difficult time for you, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, which this iris reminds me of....a tunnel with a delightful soft and cosy flowery cushion at the end. I like the fact that you haven't overdone the manipulation, lovely closeup, beautiful colour.
