Totally out of my comfort zone ! I rarely take photos of people and am unsure of lighting and positioning within the frame to make the best of the subject. This photo of my grandson hasn't been altered in ps at all but I do like the sheen of the skin tone..he really was only a few days old !
Thank you to all who gave critique on my last upload..I have taken on board all that has been said and when I finally get my camera up and running again I will put those ideas into action ! ![]()
I am not sure if I hit the Mod button or not. Gratefully accepted if you have the time.

Hi diana, this is abeautiful study and I really can't find much to critique about it. Just as a suggestion I wonder if a tighter crop would cut out a bit of extraneous detail and concentrate more on the lovely wee face juxtaposed with the rabbit's face. I've done a mod just to see though I'm not that convinced it's much better. It does get rid of the problem of the chopped-off left ear though, which I do find quite distracting.
I also tweaked the colour balance the tiniest bit, as I think there's a tiny bit of a blue cast in there.
Nice work and a precious memory
Stephen
Love it just as it is, beautiful addition to your family!
Sandra
It is absolutely gorgeous, definitely one for a frame!

Hello, Dianah. I'd say you have done extremely well here, and I love the closeness, but I also think it's so cute to have the teddy cuddling up and watching over your new grandson.
It was just the slight blue cast which niggled me a little. I didn't want to touch the face too much so used Curves, select Blue channel instead of RGB, and take out blue a bit, don't overdo it or the skin tone will change. I then used the Saturation Down brush on the teddy's head and the baby's clothes. It may be that the baby's clothes ARE blue, so forgive me if they are. See mod.
Pamela.
I totally agree about the blue tinge Pamela..I really didn't realise it until I saw the mods which is yet another thing that I will watch out for.
I love your mod..the skin colour is perfect and no, I don't think the outfit was blue, I think it was cream so you changed it perfectly. Many thanks to you once again ! ![]()
Thank you too Albert, I am glad that you liked it !

As I too don't like to take images of people I can't be of much help Diana - for me it looks perfect, as perfect as the baby itself.
Johanna
This is a truly lovely shot and I think that the mods are great aswell.

This is a beautiful portrait of your grandchild, I just couldn't resist doing a mod, he's so cute.
Have explained what I did in the mod but realised as soon as I uploaded it that I should have cropped the rest of the ear off, better to not have it at all I think, Stephen has already addressed this in his mod though.
I have tried to give him a softer dreamy look which I think suits delicate little babies and I hope you like the effect.
