A huge thank you to everybody for all your good wishes..I haven't actually come to terms with the fact that I have retired, I keep thinking I have school work to do !
The rain hasn't stopped since the end of term..an image of better days in June where Cornwall was filled with sunshine day after day..I don't know where it has disappeared to. Smile

Lovely cheerful image Dianah, I think the time you will truly believe you have retired is going to be the first day of the autumn term!

Well the sunshine will come back. The hardest thing to get used to is the fact that you're no longer confined to weekends and school holidays - you can go out mid-week in September if the weather's better then, which it usually is!

Lovely image Diana, and congratulations on your retirement. Hope you soon fill the void and come to live a whole new life to the full. I've been retired a couple of years now and don't have enough hours in the day doing all the things I never had time to do when I was working!!

Don't worry you'll enjoy the freedom (no more marking, report writing, preparing, marking, targets, National Curriculum, Ofsted ...etc...!!!!!!!!!!). You'll still see the kids when walking wherever you live and it's great to meet them and see what's become of them. JNC

I especially like the full on flower. The color and detail in it are so vibrant. You will definitely realize you are a free woman the first day of school...you should plan a little holiday get-away for that time, just to celebrate.

Hi Di

Just catching up with some EPZ activity - been away for some time. This is such a hopeful image full of lovely light and colour - lifts the spirit which you are so good at.

You now have some fantastic weather to go with your retirement (I hope) so I expect to see a whole new sheaf of images soon!!

Trust all is well and you are really relaxing.

Best wishes
