Great angle for drama which is enhanced by the moody sky. The colours on the excavator really show up well. Did you HDR process at all to get the FG so much brighter than the sky or was it all just natural lighting?

The details don't count here. This image is all about mood and it is certainly moody. The gritty feel of the ground, the HDR like colours on the machine, the wide angle feel of the composition. It all adds up to a great image.... Brilliant.....Peter

Its a truly great shot that makes it stand out and certainly looks like HDR, but done extremely well.

Thank you all for your comments.
Let me say it is not HDR. Wouldn't know how to do that.
The sky, however, has been put in. The rest of the tweaks are what I normally do. Nothing fancy.
Kathryn

Yes way. This is a really striking image. And the description clearly states digitally manipulated. Doesnt look HDR in any way to me.

Well done

Willie

Very strong Image. Love the shy and the red and rust on the machine. Top notch shot.
