I was inspired by Scaramanga's flowers & thought I'd have a go ( I did ask if it was OK) then came across a book which that belonged to my nan called Diary of an Edwardian Lady. Mixed the two together & this is what I got.

thoughts please.

Absolutely superb! It does indeed remind me of an old botanical painting.

I've seen the diary you mean. Although different version. I tried bluebells and it didn't work for me. You have done a fantastic job here. Great background with exactly the right feel.

Edit- just seen your reply to my Dad, a set of 8?

Such beautifully judged muted colours give a real feel of age. Are you sure you didn't find this in the attic?

this is what i love about original creative thinking artists - that ability to take a subject done by 10,000 people and do something different and look absolutely amazing and stand out.

beautiful - i love the feel of those wonderful old encyclopedia's with the wonderful illustrations etc

keep the beauty flowing Grin
