Juvenile Greenfinch by digicammad

Juvenile Greenfinch

Hi Phil. Not sure why the exif didn't come through, maybe the LR settings have changed. I was shooting in aperture priority.

I assume you mean the small blown areas on the beak and just under the throat. To be honest the light was changing so quickly as the tree moved in the wind that I decided there was little point using -EC. I have quite a ferw others where nothing is blown. I had meant to reduce the highlights a little in LR, but forgot. Sad.

To be honest I'm just happy I managed to get it remotely in focus. Smile

Thanks for the feedback.

Make a Wish 2 colour

I really like this and think it is strong enough not to need the fingers in frame.

I hope it doesn't have too surreal a feel to it Joline, that would mean I've not processed it how I wanted. Smile

West Burton Force by ade_mcfade

West Burton Force

I like the rock textures you've found in this Ade. Warmer tones than mine and that big stopper is working well, have to get myself one when I have a job. Smile

Personally I would say there is nothing needs improving in this. Well caught, good tones and nicely sharp.

Shillingford Bridge - Oxfordshire by bps11

Shillingford Bridge - Oxfordshire

Good composition and I like the swirls in the sky. It looks like you could do with increasing the light smoothing a touch, there is slight evidence of lighter areas in the sky around the trees. Might also be worth knocking the saturation down very slightly.

Grebes by victorburnside

Grebes

Looks nice and sharp, shame there wasn't a little light to just lift them out of the photo. Might be worth trying a bit of dodging and burning?

Working the Wood by Blakey_Boy

Working the Wood

I like the shot but I think the scummelled effect you have added is detracting from it. The scratches make it more difficult to see what he is doing with his hands and really are not necessary, the sepia tone gives the aged effect you obviously wanted.

Megan McCall

She's really feeling that song, well caught and nicely controlled exposure.

Stillness by Wilco54

Stillness

I really like the tones in this but actually think it works better without the shore in the foreground. Getting rid of that increases the minimalist feel and also moves the boat away from the middle of the frame.

Summer in Sardinia by JacopoR

Summer in Sardinia

Good summery tones. I would experiment with cropping out the bottom third, to just above that rock half in frame on the left, I think it makes the shot stronger.
