Good exposure, Ian - it's not just milky, but there's also movement - well done.

Gosh. You did say on Facebook that you had a bad Monday, but I had no idea it was that bad! Wink

Nice one Ian - grey sky maybe but I feel it adds to the atmosphere as you can see there's rolling mist in it

Thanks folks.

I'm glad you spotted that Conrad, I was trying for an impression of power.

Cheques and cash have little to do with my day actually, I'm just always happy to receive them!

I think the composition works well as does the subject.

In the mod I tried to bring out the colour and contrasts throughout the image. I used some dodge and burn methods to introduce some drama and impact to the water and sky. This helped the detail in the waterfall. Some sharpening also helped, imo, to show how much detail there is in this photo.

Alan.

Thanks for the mod Alan. I wish I could use dodge and burn like that, you have certainly lifted the colours and contrast.

The only thing is your version looks nothing like how it was on the day. My intention was to portray the weather and the power of the water.

You're probably right about the sharpening though, I don't think I have quite got to grips with sharpening in Lightroom yet.

Cheers
