Okay so I came home from work early because I couldn't wait any longer to sort out my photos from the Scottish meet! lol
This was taken at sunrise on Saturday morning. Ed, Becky, Brian and myself wandered 1 miles down (up?) the loch and found the Memorial Park, which proved to be as promising as it looked.
Exposure was 3 seconds for this one. Very little post processing has been done to it, slight adjustment to white balance and curves is all.
Once again, great meeting you all and a big thanks to everyone, especially Davie, for making a superb weekend.

The first HC from the weekend meet!
A cracking shot, Ian
Lovely peaceful image
Fine shot! Atmospheric too.
Good composition. I like the reeds in the foreground.
It's all nicely balanced.
I'd definitely put this on my wall - all the normal terminology has been used already (gorgeous, stunning, superb, cracking etc) so in order to not be repetitive, I shall simply pull my chin up off the floor, and say "Wow!"
You guys seem to have wondered to a great spot - as opposed to us who went around the other side.
You have really cought the modd of that morning.
Wow thanks everybody, that was quick!!
Paul, much as I would like to I can't claim credit for the first HC, I believe Ed got that one a few hours ago. I'm perfectly happy to be the second one though and it's nice to know so many people share my opinion of this shot.
Tanya - there is a high likelihood of this appearing on a wall near you (well me anyway) soon. :0)
Congrats on your awards.
LOL, you did get a good spot! The mist is superb.
Beautiful image Ian. You have captured the tranquility of the loch perfectly.
The most beautiful view...and shot!
Thanks Mike, Melanie, Paul and Jouko.

A worthy image my friend and a pleasure to have the p**s taken by you !!!!!!!!!!
This is wonderful, superbly composed, great atmospheric backdrop and those pin-sharp reeds in the foreground. All round top shot, well deserved HC
this is so tranquil - love it loads
Wow, this is really wonderful, Ian. Wish I'd been there...
Simple, subtle and sensational...
Excellent work from the field trip.
All the very best
Just so worthy of the 'HC' Ian. My compliments.
You were obviously one of the lucky ones, Ian, who actually found some colour during the weekend. This is a great shot, well composed, good FG interest and I love that mist over the water. Congrats on the HC.
Really great meeting you, and look forward to next year's meet!
Yet another cracker from the weekend - congrats.
Well done on the HC, tis a superb image.
ooo! What delicious colours - and so clear and still. Beautifully done.
Good to see you and Robbie again
Ooooh, so pretty, much better than my attempts at this one! But have learned so much from this weekend, I can't wait to get back out and practice more! And thanks so much for all your help with my stupid questions!
Thanks again everybody.
Davie, it was a pleasure for me too. :0)
Conrad it's happening again next year so get saving up and have a quiet word with Davie to reserve you a place or 2.
Russell, no problem. I've asked plenty of stupid questions in my time and still do. It's the best way to learn and judging by your shot you've learned a load already.
Pete - forgot to say before, thanks for the HC.
Nice composition with lovely foreground detail. The sky has a very welcoming feel to it.
Cheers Colin and Dot
