Never been there but on my wish list at the moment, love the composition and misty background, a bit of leveling then perfect my friend, I do the same and do not realise until someone points it out, or is this another for water skiers without boats!

An interesting and appropriate f/g subject, Graham, with that stretch of the Firth beyond. Have never been to Arran......must put a trip there on my ever growing things tondo list.

Hello,

You have shot a beautiful picture which has a nice composition indeed.
A special mention has to be given about the colours, the brown of the anchor really stands out.

I find that the picture balances between simplistic and plain.

I also know that a picture represents a fraction of time, and I know on that exact oment you have chosen to fire the shutter there is not a single visible boat in the frame but I think it would worth the wait for one to come along...

But the picture still gets my vote.

A happy reminder of my days at college in Ayr when we used to quite the infamous, "If you can't see Aran, it's raining: if you can see it, it's about to rain!"

definitely no2 ... a fine composition with the complementing colours and the anchor spanning the whole bay.
I can see a closer look coming up. Certainly a beautiful setting and great contrast for this heavyweight rust.

It is quite amazing how one slight alteration can make such a huge difference, a great location, in which to capture a rather breathtaking view.

Beautiful view Graham. V2 is much better though. Like the rusty anchor. My wife brings me the occasional whisky when I am on Epz.
