Little did I expect this when I started off to work today. fog as thick as pea soup, ice on the Range Rover. All very normal for the 12th of November
But it warmed up during lunch break, I had not even taken a macro lens. Only 'armed' with my bird lens and some all purpose zoom I had gone to search for finches and what might be in Mr Nadaud's garden. But I saw wings flapping in the meadow. Not possible, I said to myself!
But yes they were two lesser clouded yellows and... since flowers are few and far in between, a drone fly, a little moth (ADE ! Help!
) and a lesser clouded yellow Colias croceus are sharing a dandelion!
Now someone thought if there is room for 3... no it ended up with all of them gone. (see version 2)

Does it mean you should lug around your whole kit at all times? I do the opposite now, taking the absolute minimum to reduce weight.
But your bird lens has delivered the goods OK, Annette, with a fine shot of this pair sharing their floral shot.
Ronnie.
That's just being plain greedy, Annette, but beautifully captured.

Most of us struggle to find one visitor.....Two great images. V1 for me. Don
Two marvellous opportunistic captures, I've yet to see one clouded yellow let alone get two in one shot!![]()
