You should turn on Modifications Kathy, - its one of the boxes down the load page on the left. Its a real benefit of E2 you are not using, - and I still have a mod of the Owl waiting for you!
This is a good shot, but with mods on, you can get some good feedback, different versions!!

Ive uploaded a mod.
Theres some noise due to ISO 640 that you can reduce, -especially in the background. Can be done in Photoshop. or a third party programme like Noise Ninja.
The light was clearly poor, and the Owl is well captured, though a tad underexposed.
The mod addresses both areas.
Hope its helpful to see what can be done.
