A double shift at work today left little time for photography, but I was fortunate enough to have good light on the way to work, and grabbed this on the way through. Hardly an exciting composition, but it served a purpose. I was impressed with the way the lens handled the high contrast in this scene, which was taken about twenty degrees from the rising sun. I used maximum aperture (f/5.6) at 78mm for this one, and was pleased with the overall sharpness of the image. I’m looking forward to having a proper play with the lens tomorrow morning. So far it’s shaping up nicely, and I can’t wait to try it on a “proper” shoot.
