A touch of surrealism to this, fascinating image.

Love the "Depressing" tone of it, I don't mean that in a negative way at all. It's soulless, but in a good way. I'd say the model is perfect, but I'd be accused of chatting you up lol.

Only thing is the website addy. not a fan of writing in pictures.

Agree with the above. I like the downbeat feel and subtle touch of the surreal. A bit too bright top left maybe ... I'd prefer it to be more balanced with the top right corner. Personal opinion, IMHO and all that though.

Hey Cat, saw your work on deviantart, really like it. I think for this kind of art unbalanced is good, the tones are perfect. I love your expression and shoeless outfit with the busy carpet.

Good comments, all. Can I say that I just like it and not really sure why? It almost looks like this could be a series of shots with your model (you) in a variety of locations. Could be a fun project especially with others around watching.
Best, Bill

I think this is a great image. The stories I can build around it are endless. There is a touch of old silent films. Harold Lloyd immediately springs to mind. Being a newcomer to both EPz and photography I can't offer any comment on technique but shall make a note to keep track of your portfolio.

I think this really striking. I want to copy it, not the girl with the clock, but the style, not just the colour but the 'other thing', which you can't put your finger on. Well done on the EC

Just curve adjustment, messing around with the colour Smile

p.s i think what would really compliment it is another shot, identical set up, but with you in ABSOLUTE hysterics. )

Ooh, that's a good idea. I should try that sometime!

No, it would ruin it.

I'd have them as seperate pieces though if I did them, not side by side.

...go for it, i think the contrast would be fantastic, you'd just have to think of the silliest thing you could, i mean you'd have to be 'tears in your eyes laughter'...completely lost in your own personal joke, )

Imagine a scene from your favourite movie where the actor is pulling at your emotions with a great performance. See that scene on a bloopers show later with them giggling and it will tarnish the original next time you see it. I just wouldn't do it at all.

You have a very good point

...now thats a tricky one, if you refer to it as a 'blooper' that you get thrown on a dvd, then yes it may take something away, but if you ever see the out takes on the 'wizard of oz' where you see the 'witch' just doing 'normal' things, it puts an ENTIRLEY and utterly magical spin forward, it's such a beautiful candid opposite, that allows the viewer, a step further into the whole image that they so easily presumed they had worked out...

excellent!!!
