During a lull in the winter weather, when the sun was shining and there was very little wind, I decided to try and photograph the Witch Hazels in my garden. They are a small tree and produce extraordinary, tiny blossoms from the end of December and, if you are close enough, they carry a delicate fragrance too. This was frustrating macro work because the slightest breeze moved the subject and threw it out of focus! It took several attempts and lots of photographs to produce so few results which I thought were satisfactory. I hope you like them.
