Another limestone pavement shot, this time with Ingleborough in the background.
The original had virtually no colour so went for the mono conversion.

Alternative shot now added! (Think I actually prefer it)!

Nice mono treatment.
I think I would have pulled back, however, to include the whole tree. I think it would give the composition more coherence.

Thanks for commenting. I think I was probably right on the limit of the lens at 12mm but particularly wanted to include the erosion on the rock in the bottom left. Its amazing how very small changes to your position can make big differences to your composition when working close up with wide angle lenses.

Two excellent mono images. Suits the subject perfectly, and always good to see "The Hill"!

Thanks Graham. I have spent many (usually freezing) hours at this spot and seem to end up climbing Ingleborough several times a year.

That is a pair of cracking mono images, quite like the fact part of the tree is missing in the first. Ingleborough is always a nice one to go up, each time the conditions have something new to offer.
