Taken on a very clear day with just a sprinkling of snow on the tops.
The villages in the shot are Elterwater and Chapel Stile. The path up "The Band" is clearly visible over Lingmoor Fell. The furthest of the Fells, Esk Pike, is over 7 miles away.

Thanks very much to all who voted or commented on yesterday’s upload.

Looks almost alpine, cracking light. Ron.

Gorgeous landscape shot, lovely details and so sharp, nice light effect the sun has made in the valley

Excellent view on the mountains. Beautiful warm colours in the valley. The sprinkle of snow on the tops adds to the beauty of this photo. JNC

A superb shot of one of my favourite Lakeland places. You were, indeed, very lucky to get such a wonderful clear day. Andy
