This is a rework of a shot which appeared previously as a "variation".
I have produced new mono and colour versions, and a couple of the sheep have mysteriously moved!
Thanks to everyone who voted and commented on yesterday's image, and thanks for looking.
Absolutely stunning capture
Both are excellent but I think the mono version wins.
Very good work...like them both!
Fine shot, V1 for me.
B/W version for me, like the composition, great winter scene.
Both are superb photos love V1 just edges in front.Nice Work
Mono for me too
And for me.
Dave, both vs are brilliant...great work..
V2 for me I just love the colour tinges in the sky - Debbie
Like both versions.....................Rob.
Fantastic mood. I like the way the sheep are nearly in silhouette. Definitely mono for me, although I'd maybe try to retain some more of the highlight detail in the snow when doing the conversion.
Love the B&W
Like both versions
Really beautiful work... love the mono tone

Thanks for your comments John.
Actually, the high contrast/blown highlights was entirely Intentional. Retaining the highlights would not have been difficult, but the image just looked too flat and grey to me.
Thanks all very much for taking the time to view, vote, or comment.
The mono is a beauty, excellent composition.
ohhhh b&w for me ,love the comp ,wonderfull winter scene
Thanks for the extra comments guys, much appreciated.
A wonderfully bleak and evocative winter scene. Mono is perfect.
Excellent composition, I much prefer V1, the mono creates a great atmosphere

Yes, V1 is certainly my favourite too. I included the colour version mainly for people who hadn't seen the original.
