Topical I guess, though this one was actually taken in March 2006.
The lichen covered rock and the dead bracken provided the only colour in an otherwise virtually monochromatic landscape.
Thanks to all who voted and commented on yesterday's upload; it's much appreciated.

Unfortunately Andy, you don't often get snow right down into the Valleys like that. While it can hang around on the very highest fells for weeks, any snow lower down never lasts long.
