I had been on the beach at Seahouses shooting the sunrise, but once the sun popped above the horizon it was so bright I was getting major lens flare so turned my attention to what the sun was shining on, and found these very fine sandstone layers being accentuated by the strong side light.
Thanks to all who took the time to vote or comment on yesterday's image.

Extraordinary! I have an almost identical shot from Seahouses beach to upload some time, it could be the same bit of rock! Beautiful, and well seen (well I had to say that).

What was that someone was saying about there being nothing left to photograph?!

For this shot, I have added your pf to my favourites - I love rocks and stones and all their wonderful colours and patterns - this is such a good, detailed natural pattern abstract, caught in the perfect light to show it to best advantage.
