Spent a magical day yesterday watching and photographing Kingfishers.

Love your composition and the light is fantastic.........nature at work.........
Superb clarity, Lillian, and the dof excellent with the fish sharp from nose to tail. A lovely catchlight in the eye and lots of detail in the plumage.

It's all been said what can I add? It's a shame I gave my award before I saw this shot.
I'll try to remember to give it tomorrow.
I think some credit should go to Guinevere. She was badly attacked by Arthur on Sunday,
was beaten into the river, He tore out some of her feathers and chased her off.
The fact that this courageous little mum, barely a year old had the guts to return for Lillian to take her photo is remarkable.
This photo would not have been possible Without the help of Guiney returning to the perch in front of Lillian with a fish.
I have with my friend Malc been on tender hooks since Sunday hoping she had survived her ordeal. I had tears of Joy when Lillian took this photo, and phoned Malc with the good news.
