Love the image, but if you don't mind me saying, I was enjoying the glorious sun and bird then my eye caught something very faint on the left side, a ship and the spell was broken...it might look better cloned out? Fabulous capture of the bird and wonderful tones. Smile

I do get your point about the ship but I actually like the juxtaposition of the natural and man-made: the sun makes its inevitable appearance over the horizon, the herring gull is busy looking for breakfast and meanwhile the ship trundles up the North Sea completely oblivious of either.
