This is a picture of a crew of rowers going under a car bridge on Carnegie Lake, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Carnegie Lake is a man made lake created in 1906 by a dam at Kingston, NJ. It is located just about a mile from the main portion of the Princeton University campus. I took this picture from the dock at the Princeton University rowhouse. The Princeton row crews and numerous local crews train at this location. There is also the Carnegie Lake Regatta held here annually. In addition, this was one of the training sites of the last US Olympic team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The area has a number of rowing clubs for both men and women. You will also see individuals out there enjoying the wonderful facilities. The boathouse is quite large and stores a large number of crew boats. Other people put their boats on top of their cars to transport home.
