Plenty to look at here - nicely framed between the two posts, pleasing vertical lines in the field, teasing half sign-post etc. Very good. Looks american, is it?

thanks paul. i know what you mean about america but no - a chilly morning in north east fife!

My first thought was 'American', too. Lots of different converging lines. I like the build up that creates. The bottom is a bit confusing for me, though.
