Hi Doogie,
There's only one thing wrong with this, in my opinion and that is that the camera has 'seen' the snow as a neutral grey, and exposed for it accordingly.
To expose correctly for snow, you need to dial in some exposure compensation, possibly as much as +1 stop to 'trick' the meter into getting it right but I've found that it takes a little trial and error and I usually end up using software anyway!
I'm assuming that the camera's W/B is set to 'auto.' Mine always is and 99% of the time it gets it right. The rest of the time, I rely on Lightroom, which I've used on this to good effect or you can alter it using 'curves.'
Which software do you use, as a matter of interest? It could be that I'm talkng about things that you never use!
Bren.
Thanks Chinga,
Hi Bren,
Thanks for your input once again, love it.....
I use cs4 with very limited expertise, and generally wb is auto.... have to say I dont really understand what your seeing re the snow.. it looks alright to me, unless, aha, you are talking about the background snow showing greyness, is that why the snow isnt right or is it something else?
Have you modified it and put it back up... if you have I cant find it![]()
cheers
Doogie
