Hi Guys..thanks for taking the time to have a look at the images I am building up in my portfolio with..As you can see I am totally wildlife, mainly birds and animals living in my native Northumberland and Scotland. I am an opportunist photographer, not being able to afford the luxury of sitting on a Scottish mountainside for days or travelling abroad to exotic locations, but what I have is an in-bred affinity with all wildlife, a half decent camera and the best lense that I can affford at this time..Once again, many thanks for looking....
About Me
My name is Bill Doherty, I am a wildlife photographer living in Northumberland. I work as a service manager supporting people with learning disabilities in their own homes. I am also a part time trainer, training health and safety in the workplace, and adult safeguarding, this I do in house for my company, and I also train safeguarding for Newcastle City Council adult services. I have done part time lecturing at Northumberland college in health and social care. Before doing these vocations, I was in the motor industry for 35 years.
I am a sportsman, naturalist and country diarist, and have writtren over 100 articles for national magazines, mainly hunting and countryside orientated mags, and also publications such as the Cage and Aviary Birds and the Birdkeeper..I have two books published, A Bird in the Hand and Working Deerhounds Lurchers and Longdogs.
