Nice shiny motorbikes are notoriously difficult, get too close and to get a square on image you end up in shot, to avoid your reflection you need to get off centre, not quiet the impact. I will wherever and whenever possible use a telephoto lens and get away as far as possible and shoot square on. Keep experimenting. I have found that generally speaking talk to the owners who are so proud of their shiny machines they will help you to get the right shot.
Hello, Dorian. For me, your subject is the Harley Davidson emblem, which you have focused on nicely, with the rest of the image less focused. As with flowers, a composition is often enhanced by having your subject off centre instead of right in the middle of the frame. This way, you can choose which area around the emblem looks most interesting and compose your shot so that the whole frame is full of interest.
Pamela.
